A New Season
The 2011 Season is now just getting under way here in the south of Ireland.
Most of the Kerry fisheries having opened on the January 17th and the Rivers Lee and Munster Blackwater opening next Tuesday, February 1st.
Water levels are now at a good fishing height and with no major rainfall due for the next week should remain in good order.
The Laune system has already accounted for 3 Spring Salmon that I know of.
One fish being caught on opening day at the joinings between the upper and lower lakes along with two more caught on beat 1 of the Muckross fishery on the Laune.
All in all a good opening week, with hopefully more to follow.
