A Few Springers About

With Highwater having been the predominate theme over the last few weeks, The Munster Blackwater and River Lee have not seen any great action.
However there were two fish caught in the Lee during the opening week to 14lbs and the Blackwater also produced a fish to the fly on one of the Blackwater Lodge beats.

This highwater is really suiting the Kerry rivers and Lakes with Lough Currane having produced several fish this week to 12lbs.
The Laune is also doing well with several caught over the last 10 days, though as I speak the water is now very high, practically inside the hut on Muckross Beat 1.

Still I like to see this type of prolonged high water levels at this time of year as it usually bodes well for March.

A few new patterns that I hope to test out over the coming weeks, especially when the water drops a little; A Pink Cascade and  Green Brolly Varient.
